Is Associate Professor of History Emeritus, State University of New York College at Brockport, where he taught history and coordinated the Mexico Program for thirty years until his retirement in 1998. He has coordinated the Cuernavaca Mexico Elderhostel since 1990, a program of intensive Spanish study that has received outstanding evaluations consistently. His teaching specialties are Latin America in the 20th Century, U.S. Latin American Relations, and History of Mexico. He has 25 years experience working with group travel in Mexico, Spain, Italy, and other countries. He is fluent in Spanish, conversational in Italian and Portuguese, and reads French.
Jim will be your contact in the U.S., responsible for all pre-program details; he will meet you on arrival in your tour destination and orient you to the program; he will accompany all groups and provide historical background lectures on the bus; he will guide all field trips or hire the best possible local guides; he will arrange excellent meals and dine with you on tour.
On any tour, 90 percent of travelers are repeat clients and some are repeating for ten or more times!
Jim lives most of the time in Cuernavaca Mexico and he is the author of the only English language guide book, CUERNAVACA, A GUIDE FOR STUDENTS & TOURISTS. He owns deluxe apartments for rent, promoted on this website but NOT part of Educational Travel Service, Inc.
